INTO THE MOAT Sign With METAL BLADE RECORDS

May 12, 2004

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida's INTO THE MOAT have inked a deal with Metal Blade Records. The quintet, who are described as "a technical metalcore band with elements of grind, death metal, and tech," have almost completed the songwriting process for their new album, which they plan on recording in August. A late 2004/early 2005 release is expected.

Commented Metal Blade owner/CEO Brian Slagel: "We are extremely excited INTO THE MOAT has joined the Metal Blade family and we could not be happier to work with such a great band."

INTO THE MOAT drummer Matthew Gossman stated: "Since this band started three years ago, we have wanted nothing more than to be on Metal Blade Records. They have been around for over 20 years, and we are extremely proud to be a part of something so successful, not to mention being amongst such awesome bands. It is a great feeling to have accomplished what once seemed like an unreachable goal. With Metal Blade's help, we are going to be able to take our band much further, so thank you immensely to everyone that helped us along the way."

INTO THE MOAT's lineup consists of:

Matthew Gossman - drums
Kit Wray - guitar
Rob Shaffer - guitar
Earl Ruwell IV - vocals
Joshua Thiel - bass

INTO THE MOAT will embark on a tour with Black Market Activities artist PSYOPUS in July. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
